Flea, Tick and Mosquito Control in Worcester
Seasonal Biting-Insect Control from a Central Massachusetts Team Serving Since 1941
Our recurring flea, tick, and mosquito programs give Worcester property owners a clear choice of seasonal treatment options. Massachusetts public-health guidance identifies Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile virus as mosquito-borne diseases that occur in the state, while residential yards can provide habitat for black-legged ticks and other tick species. Our treatments can reduce outdoor biting-insect activity, but they don’t replace personal protection, pet protection, or routine tick checks.
At Ford's Hometown Services, our state-licensed and trained technicians focus applications on places where pests harbor and breed, including trees, shrubs, ground cover, planting beds, and standing water. We offer traditional and organic spray options. Applications generally take place every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the weather, from April through October.
Recurring service addresses changing pest activity throughout the season. Weather, vegetation, irrigation, property layout, and pest pressure can affect application timing and treatment performance.
Call (774) 418-4908 to compare seasonal treatment options for your property.
Application Coverage, Drying Time and Rain Guard Protection
We use truck-mounted tree-spraying equipment for broad treatment coverage. Applications can reach approximately 10 to 15 feet high and 20 to 30 feet deep across suitable trees, shrubs, ground cover, and planting beds. Backpack misters may be used for hard-to-reach areas and organic properties when site conditions require them.
Treated areas generally dry in 20 to 30 minutes. Before using them again, follow all product-label and re-entry directions provided by your applicator.
Our team also uses Rain Guard Protection to help prevent applications from being lost to sudden rain or irrigation.
Choose the flea, tick, and mosquito program that fits your outdoor space and treatment preferences. Please call (774) 418-4908 to discuss your options and schedule a consultation.
Our 8-Visit Tick and Mosquito Combo Program
The scheduled visits and application details include:
- 7 mosquito applications plus 1 late-fall application targeting egg-laying female ticks.
- Spray coverage reaching 10 to 15 feet high and 20 to 30 feet deep.
- State-licensed and trained applicators.
- Applicators certified as “Pollinator Protectors.”
- Traditional and organic programs.
Recurring applications account for changes in weather, vegetation, and seasonal pest activity. The Pollinator Protector designation applies to our applicators, while each treatment remains subject to site conditions and product-label directions.
Option 1: Traditional “Bite-Em Back” Spray Program (Control Product)
The traditional treatment option includes:
- Rapid knockdown or kill.
- Longer-lasting residual protection than the organic option.
- Our satisfaction guarantee.
- The lower-cost choice of the two listed options.
Residual protection means the treatment remains active on treated surfaces for a period after application. Actual performance can vary with weather, pest pressure, property conditions, and product-label requirements.
Option 2: Green Alternative Program (Organic)
Key details of the organic treatment option include:
- Quick knockdown or kill.
- Shorter residual protection than the traditional option.
- No satisfaction guarantee.
- Compliance with the USDA National Organic Program.
- Castor oil, lemongrass oil, geraniol, cedarwood oil, and corn oil.
- The higher-cost choice of the two listed options.
Organic treatment doesn’t mean risk-free. Follow the applicator’s instructions and product-label requirements after service.

Programs for Different Outdoor Pest Concerns
We can help you compare border-focused flea and tick treatment with a full-yard program covering ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. The right choice depends on the pests observed, vegetation, standing water, pets, and the areas where people spend time outdoors.
Tick and Flea Border Program
In addition to our traditional and organic options, we offer a combination program that targets ticks and fleas outdoors. This border-focused treatment is suited to pest activity around lawn edges, vegetation, wooded margins, and other property boundaries. Pet flea prevention should also be discussed with a veterinarian as part of household flea management.
Tick, Flea and Mosquito Combo Program
For yards affected by multiple common biting insects, we offer a full-service approach that targets ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. This program is intended for property owners seeking broader treatment across the outdoor areas they use.
Optional Treatments for Property-Specific Conditions
We offer an optional lawn blanket spray for ticks at an additional charge.
Optional larvicide services are available for standing water to target mosquito breeding sites at an additional charge. Larvicide addresses mosquito larvae in suitable standing-water locations, while adult mosquito applications target active mosquitoes in treated areas. Removing or managing standing-water sources where practical can support mosquito control.
